Terms & Conditions

The client shall be deemed to be the person whose details are given on time of booking.

We will endeavour to provide the client with a professional oven clean on the day and time that has been requested by the client. We will inform the client if we are unable to attend an appointment on the agreed day/time as soon as possible by telephone. In this instance we will re-arrange a date/time that is mutually convenient.

If the client wishes to cancel or reschedule an appointment then we ask for as much notice as possible.

If we arrive at a client's property at the agreed date/time and we cannot gain access, we will phone the client with the number(s) provided, if we still cannot gain access we will wait no longer than 15 minutes. Once the 15  minutes has expired we will leave and the client will have to reschedule and may be asked for an upfront payment to be made via BACS to confirm another booking.

Payments are to be made on the day of cleaning unless otherwise agreed with Elyte Oven Clean. Payments can be made by cash or card. Card payments can only be made in person and if an adequate 4G signal can be obtained otherwise cash will be acceptable. A receipt can be given upon request.

The oven cleaning operative will need to turn the oven on to ensure that the oven is working properly, if the cleaner is unable to turn on the oven for any reason then we will not carry out the clean and the client will have to reschedule another appointment.

The oven cleaning operative may also require the oven to be turned off by the mains supply and should be able to do so.

If the oven cleaning operative comes across any discrepancies (eg screws chewed, oven in poor state of repair or not working) they will inform the client and will only carry on with the oven clean if the client wishes and the operative agrees it would be safe to do so.

We use 100% eco friendly products however there may be times where we need to use our caustic chemicals. The operative will always check with the client first.

We will do our best to make sure the client's appliances are cleaned to our highest standards. However, if they have not been cleaned since they were purchased or neglected for a long period of time, regrettably, we will not be liable for any ingrained dirt that cannot be removed using chemicals and the full balance will be due.

We will remove all parts that are safe to do so, we do not remove or clean elements or thermostats. Therefore we do not accept responsibility if the element(s) or thermostats do not work after cleaning the oven.

We hold a number of tools to dismantle 99% of oven parts including doors, fans, side panels etc. However, a small majority of ovens require specific manufacturer tool to remove some parts of the oven, these tools are usually supplied with the oven. We will require the use of the tool to enable us to remove specific parts of your oven for us to clean your oven completely. Should you not have required tool, we will clean the oven to the best of our ability and full balance will be due.

All used ovens can break down at any time. As professional oven cleaners we are not qualified to touch any electrical parts of the oven and therefore do not accept liability for any electrical faults.

We do remove the rubber seal where possible to clean it. On occasion the metal grasps for the seal might be weak and/or rusty and may break. This is classed as general wear and tear. We would not be liable if the seal breaks from wear and tear. If the client knows the rubber seal is old and likely to be worn then they should ask the operative not to remove the seal.

Knobs and markings on the control panel may come off when cleaning. If the client does not wish for the control panel to be cleaned to prevent this possibility then the client should inform the operative.

Any complaints after cleaning should be made within 12 hours of cleaning.

Free available parking for upto 5 hours is essential however, if no parking is available please let us know in advance so we can then make suitable arrangements.

NB - The above terms apply to cleaning of ovens, hobs, extractors and microwaves.
